LEVEL 1:
- SERUM PHOSPHATE, SERUM ALKALINE PHOSPHATE
- LIVER FUNCTION TESTS
- RENAL FUNCTION TESTS (BLOOD UREA, SERUM CREATININE)
- X-RAYS WRIST (RICKETS/ALBRIGHTS HEREDITARY OSTEODYSTROPHY)
LEVEL 2:
- PTH LEVEL (RANGE 12-72 ng/ml) (HIGH PHOSPHATE AND NORMAL RENAL FUNCTIONS)
- MAGNESIUM LEVEL ( NORMAL OR LOW PHOSPHATE LEVELS)
- MALABSORPTION STUDIES (FECAL FATS, TTG ETC)
- 1, 25 HYDROXY D3 (LOW IN VDDR 1, HIGH IN VDDR II)
- IN NEONATES, MOTHER X-RAYS FOR OSTEOMALACIA AND HYPERPARATHYROIDISM.
